What better way to ignite the ‘Thought Zone’ (ThoughtZ) than a set of thoughts about the name itself 😊

It is quite common that a lot of people do not have an opportunity ‘to think’ about ‘the thoughts’ that they have. For a long time, the thoughts fleeting through a human mind were pegged as high as 50,000 to 60,000 per day. But some recent studies have drastically revised downwards to a more modest 6,000 per day. Still a lot! The human mind grapples with various external inputs captured by the senses as well as intrinsic sources like memory or sub-conscious mind. An interesting comparison would be to that of a bee hopping from flower to flower in search and accumulation of nectar. Whereas a bee’s hop is significantly more productive at every switch, the same is not the case with the mind as thoughts dazzle around. That brings the discussion to ‘the Zone’

A dictionary definition from Collins defines being ‘in the zone’ as ‘in a mental state that enables one to perform to the best of one’s ability’. Also called as ‘the Flow’, Csikszentmihalyi describes it as ‘the intense experiential involvement in moment-to-moment activity, which can be physical or mental. Attention is fully invested in the task at hand and the person functions at her or his fullest capacity’.  In our Yashmian Philosophy (https://yashmia.com/yashmian-philosophy) we convey the same concept as ‘Skill in Action’ in the dimension of Knowledge.

To uphold our commitment of ‘Making IT Real’, it becomes essential to have the thoughts in the zone. And so, the name of this section 😊

Please do join in the ThoughtZ!

Note : If you think about deep-diving into ‘thoughtful’ articles (not in any particular sequence)
