Youth Growth Nation’s Growth – Power To Unleash (PTU)
From the desks of our Founders Satyanarayanan Visvanathan & Sashikala Viswanathan
The vision that Yashmia Consulting and Technologies has in terms of Nation Building and Women Empowerment are well known by now. To expand our reach we joined hands with Project Management Institute Chennai Chapter and Le Banyan PEC to deliver a special program at Puducherry Technological University
Vice Chancellor Dr Mohan S presided over the event and gave a special address.
Koushik Ramani opened by highlighting the profoundness of the topic and by stating that “A nation does not grow merely because it has resources. A nation grows when its young people grow in terms of – knowledge, character and courage”. The demographic strength of youth in India is a great pointer that the future of India is not somewhere far away. He emphasized that the three attributes viz. Curiosity, Problem Solving, Integrity are much sought after from young professionals. He cited instances from his career where he quite often moved out of comfort zones, grabbed newer challenges and opportunities that came his way and progress, never returning to an earlier role that he had played. With examples, he highlighted that progress often begins when someone has the courage to imagine possibilities others cannot yet see. He concluded with the message to the students that “the future of India will not be built by chance, it will be built by the choices you make every day”
Retd Air Marshal Varthaman S delivered the key-note address. Obviously, his charismatic presence and awe-inspiring speech, not just lifted the spirit of the audience, but set them fly high! He shared, the entire history of India since 1947 across different spheres viz. military, economy, technology, medicine, by means of captivating slides and powerful articulation. He explained how a country’s power is composite and is constituted by military, political, economic, diplomacy, technology and other strengths and how we are surging ahead in all these dimensions. Touching specifically about the Indian Army, he stated that our military is current and active and has been playing a world-wide positive role. It was amazing to listen to the real life story of safeguarding of a pregnant lady in a foreign land whose message was received, her safety and delivery was ensured by the military. The talk had an overwhelming response from the student community, who were thronging around him, asking questions (some were even eager to know about the possibility of joining the army!) and seeking guidance.
